Hand Embroidery Sampler

This little hand embroidery thread sampler pack includes 5 sample size threads that make it easy for you to get a feel for the WonderFil® thread options available. Also included is a detailed hints and tips guide to tell you more about each thread, how you can use it, as well as sewing tips to give you the best results.

Included is 1 mini sample size each of Eleganza™ #8 double gassed Egyptian perle cotton in a solid color, another in a variegated color from the Sue Spargo collection, a Dazzle™ 8wt rayon with 1 strand of metallic, Spagetti™ 12wt double gassed Egyptian cotton (solid color), and Fruitti™ 12wt double gassed Egyptian cotton (variegated color).

8wt threads are recommended for most hand embroidery projects, especially for anyone who is a beginner. They are the ideal weight to do most stitches and comfortably pull the thread through fibres and fabrics. 8wt thread is also a great choice for hand and machine couching, or even knitting and crochet. The included 12wt threads are smaller than the 8wt threads but are still ideal for detailed hand embroidery. They are also the thickest thread that can safely fit through the eye of a sewing machine needle for decorative top stitching, quilting, machine embroidery, thread painting, and decorative appliqué.
